No reasons to love
Yes I prayed for a boo
I craved to be wooed
But never to be turned a fool
I wanted to taste love
To inhale it’s sensation
But then this is tough
It tastes like pollution.
I have been battered
My feelings shattered
Does loving seem better
When the pain lingers
I felt your heart’s cold
True love seems old
The memories look unkempt
My shattered heart still leapt.
Loving leaves the heart gullible
Embracing violence look adorable.
Poverty wrecks
No greater pain
Than the feeling of disdain
The shame of not being good enough
The shame of turning into a puff
From the inability to adjust
And foot the cost
Breathing disgust.
I weep
I tear
My broken spirit
In monuments of fear
Fear of living by the verdict
And seeing the pain go deep
When life’s pleasure flaunt your sight
And poverty cause your fright
I weep
Not because the pain is deep
But beholding thousands in suffering
I question nature’s doing
Pain, shame and disgust
The price poverty costs.
